Academic Writing Workshop – BBA Programmes

In alignment with the university’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and scholarly rigour, a structured academic writing workshop was conducted by Research Scholars from the School of Business and Management for final-year students of the BBA programmes. This initiative was strategically conceived to standardise dissertation formatting practices and enhance the research writing competencies of undergraduate students.

The session encompassed in-depth discussions on key elements of academic writing, including the principles of abstract construction, the organisation and thematic flow of the literature review chapter, and the identification and articulation of research gaps. Particular emphasis was placed on the application of APA 7th edition formatting norms, covering the technical conventions of table and figure presentation, referencing mechanics, in-text citation standards, and adherence to academic integrity through plagiarism checks.

By bridging the epistemological gap between undergraduate learners and research scholars, the session served as a platform for vertical knowledge transmission, peer mentorship, and the reinforcement of disciplinary conventions.
