My years as a research scholar in the Department of English and Cultural Studies at CHRIST (Deemed to be) University, Bangalore, Bannerghatta Road Campus (June 2021 Cohort), were a period of learning, questioning, and finding my place as a researcher. With no prior research experience, I learned the fundamentals of research, academic writing, and publishing through the guidance of my supervisor, RAC members, and faculty. The monthly "Research Scholars Forum" provided a valuable space to share my work, engage with diverse perspectives, and reflect on my progress. More than research skills, my time in the Department taught me the value of learning and unlearning, and shaped me into the academic I am today.
Dr Geethu currently works as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Mount Carmel (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru.
