With a purpose of introducing research students to the various research resources, reference management and research metrics, Dr Vineeth M, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics Studies, CHRIST BGR Campus had co-hosted a webinar with Dr S Chandrasekhar, Professor, IGIDR, Mumbai on June 06, 2020. Dr S M Pujar, Chief Librarian, IGIDR was the resource person. 55 students from 5 ECOH A and 56 students from 5ECOH B and 1 PhD scholar had registered for the Webinar from CHRIST BGR Campus.

Dr Pujar introduced students to reference management software Zotero, and explained in detail the differences between Zotero, Mendeley and EndNote. He also introduced students to various resources such as Scopus, Web of Science and others. Among the research metrics, the SCImago Journal Ranking and UGC Care list were introduced to the students and the resource person also explained how h-index is calculated.

The webinar was highly informative and was much appreciated by all the participants. The webinar was conducted on Zoom and was also streamed on YouTube live.
