Teaching Learning Enhancement Cell (TLEC)

The Teaching Learning Enhancement Cell (TLEC) at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) is a faculty development and academic enhancement unit functioning under the Director of Academics. TLEC supports the continuous improvement of teaching, curriculum development, and educational quality through global best practices and national frameworks.

Curriculum & Pedagogy Support

Enhances curriculum design, teaching, learning, and assessment aligned with global standards, Outcome-Based Education, and NEP 2020.

Capacity Building

Organizes workshops, training sessions, and consultations focusing on learner-centered methods and digital pedagogy across disciplines.

Quality Enhancement

Supports quality teaching and assessment, fosters research-informed practices, and encourages innovative publications in education.

Role of TLEC: TLEC motivates and guides faculty in enhancing curriculum, adopting learner-centered teaching methods, and aligning practices with global academic standards. It is a cornerstone for institutional academic excellence across CHRIST (Deemed to be University).

Objectives

    1. To support the adoption and implementation of learner-centered, outcome-based teaching, learning, and assessment practices across the University.
    2. To frame policies for curriculum design, teaching, learning, and assessment in alignment with guidelines from statutory and accrediting bodies.
    3. To provide ongoing support to faculty within the University and to external institutions through extension services and consultancies.
    4. To review and enhance curriculum quality, ensuring effective frameworks and implementation across disciplines.
    5. To assist faculty in translating curriculum into impactful teaching, learning, and assessment practices.
    6. To design and deliver capacity-building initiatives on curriculum design, digital pedagogy, and innovative teaching practices for in-service faculty.
    7. To facilitate research-informed teaching and promote the publication of innovative teaching and learning practices.
    8. To pursue and secure external funding for projects focused on advancing teaching, learning, and assessment practices.
