Role of CCHS
The Centre aims to help students make proper academic adjustments and enhance their quality of life. Our counselors motivate and support students in attending classes regularly and preparing systematically for exams. Guidance and counseling are offered as professional services grounded in well-accepted principles.
Objectives
- To provide counseling and health services in an accessible and nurturing environment.
- To accompany students in the various phases of their lives.
- To support students in managing academic and social pressures.
Major Activities
The Centre includes two full-time Counselors and a Medical Officer who work closely with students to manage academic, social, and personal challenges. The Centre functions from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM on weekdays and 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturdays, providing students with free access to professional counseling services.
Induction Counseling
Counselors introduce newly joined students and their parents/guardians to the campus culture and academic practices, including Assessment Patterns, Dress Codes, Discipline, and various academic and non-academic activities.
Personal Counseling
Provided in a confidential, unconditional, and non-judgmental manner to address students' personal and academic challenges. This includes walk-ins and counselor-initiated sessions for inclusiveness and support.
Academic Counseling
The counseling team works with academic departments to identify slow learners and arrange remedial tutorials or peer learning. After semester results, counselors assess students’ study habits and guide them on improvement strategies.
