About the Programme
The PhD Programme offered by the Department of Tourism Studies aims to conduct, promote and institute research in various functional areas of tourism, with special emphasis on the latest issues and trends in tourism. The department extends complete academic guidance to the research scholars in order to understand their areas of research effectively and also supports them in developing a theoretical and empirical exposure pertaining to different aspects of research. The PhD Programme in Tourism is thus designed to integrate field experience and academic study through vigorous coursework and research, allowing the scholars to continuously apply knowledge and skills in field setting and generate practical, relevant questions for issues needing further study.
